This two year, ACGME-accredited training experience is designed to promote expertise through outstanding clinical, surgical, academic, investigative and administrative instruction. Our Heart Center is one of the higher-volume pediatric heart centers in the nation with a survival rate frequently above the national average.

The Ward Family Center for Congenital Heart Disease includes 30 board-certified pediatric cardiologists and four congenital cardiothoracic surgeons, eight cardiac intensivists, and eight cardiac anesthesiologists and over 30 advanced practice nurses with support from nursing, social work, nutrition and exercise physiology. The high-volume center offers the region's most comprehensive care from birth to young adulthood for congenital and acquired heart disease, boasting outstanding clinical facilities, and research training opportunities.
